After a hot, but hard-working preseason week, the 1sts travelled away to a tough first fixture against Gordons School. Gordons started the brighter of the two sides winning some early short corners, although failing to convert with great work from Lily O'Grady in goal. Emanuel grew into the game pressurising the ball to great effect creating more opportunities at goal, including an excellent snapshot D entry attempt at the end of the first half from Sarah Daly. The game finished stalemate at 0-0 with a very encouraging start to the season.
